Khamun-Ra, The Divine Pharaoh

Minor God of Kings, Majesty, Tombs, Monuments, and The Sun

The King's Path lies ever forward - beyond the distant horizon.   He may grieve, he may weep, but he must never regret.   He must stand taller than any other, for he is their guide.   He must live more vividly than any other, for he must captivate their gazes.   He collects their envy and their admiration in equal measure.   Thus, though the King must walk his path alone, he is never alone.

Artifacts

Though by and large the faith of Khamun-Ra is a secretive one and thus many of his artifacts are likely kept secret by his faithful, a pair of Khamun-Ra's artifacts were fairly well known in the deserts of Southern Corexus before the advent of The Wasting Sea and are thus listed below with their names and descriptions:   The Solarium Mirror: The mightiest artifact of Khamun-Ra's faith said to have once been the crowning accomplishment of a long-forgotten civilization, this enormous structure lies suspended in the air some hundreds or thousands of feet above Khamun-Ra's Central Temple(The Solarium Temple Complex) - a structure that has ever evaded understanding by both magicians and scientists, this enormous floating structure acts as a focusing lens to channel the raw, unfiltered energy of the sun and stars down into the Temple Complex proper far below; Where the collected energy can be used for all manner of wonderous rituals ranging from weather alteration rituals, enormous wide-scale heat attacks, terraforming of the surrounding desert, transmuting lead into gold, and countless other miracles too numerous to count. Said to have been constructed long ago as an offering to Khamun-Ra, this enormous mirror floats via unknown means and resist all attempts at study - revealing its secrets and functionality only to the ordained Head Priest of Khamun-Ra's faith at the Temple Complex far below, who is said to form a symbiotic link with the structure.   The Staff of Kings: This wonderous golden scepter, said to be the symbol of office for the Head Priest of Khamun-Ra's faith, is a beautifully golden scepter with a large ruby inlaid in a housing at the top - said to be imbued with the nigh-infinite power of the Sun and the authority of Kings, this staff's primary function as it is used in the modern day is to assess the worthiness of visitors to the Temple Complex; where its power is said to be able to peer into the hearts of others and reveal their deepest secrets to the wielder. However, the staff has been observed unleashing enormous blasts of heat and sunlight enough to melt through metal and is said to be the key to many odd mechanisms housed within the Temple Complex.

Tenets of Faith

A king's code is his life. Never break your code or the laws of the land which you inhabit.

A king never hides. Never skulk, sneak, or act in the shadows - do all you do confidently without subterfuge or disguise.

Guard the gates of death. Protect the sanctity of tombs, graves, and that contained within them. Ensure the bodies of the dead are not defiled or disgraced.

Majesty is the measure of a life. Live majestically, walk confidently, and move ever forward. Leave behind works of wonder that will endure long after you are gone.

A king must be greater than any other. A king can show no injury, no flaw, and no weakness - let your worries be yours alone, and project an image of perfection to inspire the hearts of others.

A king protects his subjects. This world and all beings within it are your subjects. Guide them and protect them by your own hand, and never allow them to fight your battles for you nor shoulder a burden you could not shoulder yourself.

Main Temple and Location
Khamun-Ra's Main Temple, The Solarium Temple Complex, stands as one of the few buildings to survive the onset of the Wasting Sea in Corexus's eastern desert - a sole, lonely temple complex poking out above dunes as the only buildings for hundreds of miles in every direction. Due to the extreme difficulty in reaching it, it has taken on a pseudo-mythological "paradise" reputation in the surrounding area.
