Haer'in (heːr.in)

Haer'in is a primarily Elvish nation that lives inside the Giant Mushroom Forest Haer and occupies the Dinosaur Jungle. They are one of the most ancient nations of today that have tended their gardens via Magic since almost the dawn of civilization.  

Structure

The Oracle leads the nation, however the actual governing is done by the council of Rulers. The Rulers only bother the Oracle in cases where they can't find a majority agreement on an issue. Additionally, the members of the Druidic Circle of the Crystal Pillar also have honorary citizenship and representation in the Haer'inian government.   ORGANIZATION CHART NOT AVAILABLE

History

Haer'in was formed by Elves escaping the march of the Green Horde who found refuge inside the Giant Mushroom Forest Haer, hoping the vegetation would hide them from the threat. Over time the nation has learned to foster a symbiotic relation with the nature that surrounds them.

Demography and Population

They welcome every species, but the demography is still Elf majority.

Military

Haer'in's population goes through military training which usually takes around 5 years. Considering the lifespan of an Elf this is a miniscule amount of time to spend on mandatory military service, but is perhaps the reason why species with shorter lifespans might settle elsewhere. Their army is known to be great at fighting inside the Giant Mushroom Forest Haer, defending, and using guerilla tactics; however they tend to fall short out in open battle, and are also not known to be great at attacking.

Religion

There is constant religious debate between the Church of the Old Gods, the Church of the New Gods, and the Church of the Cycle.

Foreign Relations

They aim for improvement and beauty. They don't have strong foreign policy, and are quite happy to be left undisturbed.   Diplomacy Diagram not available
