Adventure Cause

Player Actions?

Backstory Ties?

Nothing concrete per se, but this opens a few probabilities.
  • The destination, The Überlauf Talis pretty close to Village of Halfhille, and might open a few BS related doors.
  • Calia wanted to spread magic, this could be catered to by giving her a house which might be used as a magic school down the line.

How does the party learn about this Quest?

As the group is talking to the Faith of Lathander, they are close to be called in for this opportunity.

Adventure Information

Rundown of the Adventure

After running afoul of Helene Merkatz the group needs to deal with her corrupting touch, now after finding her to be more than they can deal with they're turning to the Faith of Lathander, who will offer them a way out. In return for temporary use of their ship, the group receives shelter and care. This ship is needed to sail up the river and make its way over to Lake Inverness, and the nearby The Hamlet of Inverness. On their way there the group should keep their eyes open for the previous transport which was carrying supplies for the hamlet, and more importantly the faith that is stationed there. While also taking new supplies along.   The group will be accompanied by a cleric of Lathander, a Paladin of Lathander and the crew for the ship (4 sailors). The Cleric can bend the winds ensuring the ship can sail without the usage of a pulling animal.   Normally one of these ships is send every week (on a Friday), but due to the unrest in Neuhafen these deliveries have been running late. And with the celebration of Captain Seymoure due in the next few days this delivery is important. This travel is about 35 miles by river, which is about 18 hours by boat. As the boat can probably travel 10-15 hours per day, it's about 2 days. Which would put the first stop roughly in the village of Küsdorf. A small hamlet similar to The Hamlet of Inverness but smaller, catering more to travelers and farming.

Who is involved in the adventure?

Who is behind the adventure? (BBEG)
Shaman Pinkeye
Who is effected?
  • The Crew of the ship which has been intercepted, which are almost all dead.
  • The People of The Hamlet of Inverness which are running low on supplies.

What has happened Already

When did it happen?
The ship was dispatched on the Monday (three days ago when the group learns about the quest). As such the ship arrived in Küsdorf on the Tuesday, and has been attacked half a day later, so it has been 2 days since the ship was attacked. As Such it will be four days since the ship was attacked when the group catches up.
Where did it happen?
About halfway between Küsdorf and The Hamlet of Inverness. The ship was Name "the Tasman" and was captained by Liatris Werner and crewed by six sailors. Three of which are now dead, the remained is captured and held at spearpoint near the wreck. Which is located in a quiet sub stream.
Why did it happen?
The Goblins need supplies, and want The Hamlet of Inverness weakened. This will serve their purpose in two ways.
How did it happen?
The goblins blocked the stream with a log, in-between some steep cliffs, and then used swings to get to the deck where they killed and bound the crew. The bodies where dragged to the shore and left to rot. The ship was pulled a little further into a small side stream, where it was beached and the goblins await assistance to drag the final supplies away. Currently a quarter of the goblins remain, and about half the supplies.

What happened?

  1. The previous supply ship (the Tasman) left last Mnonday and should've arrived in The Hamlet of Inverness on Wednesday, but this hasn't happened, we expect it to have run afoul of something between Küsdorf and the Hamlet.
  2. We've heard you posses a ship? We can provide you with crew to man it as well as a Cleric to get you there, while you go there, you'll also take some additional supplies along.
  3. We've have not heard too much from the region, but we've heard that the local mountain life has made it's way into the lowlands.

How does the QG want this resolved?

  4. Salvage what you can.

What does the QG offer

  1. In return of figuring out what happened, you will be given the care you'll need to get back on your feet. As well as a deed to a land house near Inverness, which you can use for your purposes, it's not in the greatest shape. But it has a dock and can be fixed.
  2. We will also provide you with a small sum of gold for services provided. (120 GP)
  3. And you can reach out to our representative in the hamlet if you need supplies you can't find in town.
  4. Further more, the priest of The Hamlet of Inverness has a past with similar magic, and can help with Calia Menethil's condition. Her name is Mysria Wildblade.
