Anara's Palace

The Palace of Queen Anara, the crown jewel of the Inner Fortress, is not merely a residence but a monument to the glory and power of Dragsa. This architectural masterpiece is constructed from dark slate-gray stones quarried from the Dragsan mountains, each block etched with the history of the kingdom—depicting everything from epic battles to peaceful eras of prosperity. The palace is strategically situated to oversee the entire Inner Fortress, symbolizing unyielding vigilance and royal authority.

The palace is designed in a formidable Gothic style, with sharp angles and towering spires that pierce the skyline. It features a grand central tower, surrounded by several smaller towers at strategic corners of the building, each topped with a silvered dome that reflects the sun’s rays, serving as a beacon for miles around. The main gateway is a marvel of engineering, adorned with bas-reliefs of Dragsa’s coat of arms and flanked by massive statues of mythical guardians—griffins, symbolizing the protectorship of the realm.   As visitors approach the palace, the air grows cooler, the atmosphere tinged with the crisp scent of the sea winds mixed with the smoky hint of fireplaces burning within. The sound of the palace guards’ synchronized marches resonates, a constant reminder of the disciplined order that the Queen upholds. Light filters through the high stained glass windows, casting colorful patterns on the stone floors and creating an almost ethereal setting inside.   Surrounding the palace are the royal gardens, a sprawling expanse of meticulously curated flora that boasts both native and exotic plants. The gardens serve both as a sanctuary of peace for the Queen and a defensive buffer. Secret pathways and hidden alcoves dot the landscape, leading to private quarters and strategic vantage points.   Inside, the palace is a labyrinth of grand halls, state rooms, and private chambers, each more lavish than the last. The Great Hall, used for state functions and royal gatherings, features a massive double staircase leading to a dais where the throne sits. Intricate tapestries and magnificent chandeliers hang from the ceilings, and the walls are lined with portraits of past monarchs and heroes of Dragsa.   The Palace of Queen Anara is not only a residence but a living museum of Dragsa’s heritage. It houses artifacts and treasures from across the ages, making it a center of culture and history, frequently visited by scholars, dignitaries, and tourists alike.
