Aztroc

King Aztroc Dreemurr (a.k.a. Father of Freedom)

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Born to a Boss Monster mother and a Fae father, Aztroc was taken away at a young age to work as an ironsmith in Prehens, slaving away day and night with his fire magic to do whatever his masters demanded of him.   When his thirtieth year drew near, Aztroc, already tired, branded and scarred, grew tired of the life he and all others of his kind led, hidden behind the wall of the Sicatrin Mountains where the Empire's finest did not have to look at them. So Aztroc sought out strong men, fellow monsters who still had life left in them, and he rebelled. With Aztroc's strategic expertise, and the stockpile of weapons and armor that he had made in secret, he and his men were able to take Prehens. This inspired many more monsters, most being those whom he had just freed, to join up and rebel alongside him.   Aztroc's army swept across The District of Tsaraknit, killing hundreds of Fae slavers and freeing thousands of monsters from the Empire's stranglehold. When the District was taken end-to-end, some of his most trusted friends advised him to stop, keep the District as a free Kingdom for all the monsters and let the Empire rot. But Aztroc saw how the Humans suffered across the mountains, destined to be slaves like he had been, and he felt pity for them. He gave a rousing speech to his men, and though they were tired, they rallied behind him to take the District of Loscenosis away from the Empire as well.   When Aztroc's army arrived at the edge of Loscenosis, battles began to rage on the other side, started by humans who knew that he was coming and were thus filled with strength. The humans and monsters fought towards the center of Loscenosis, finally taking the current Fae centre, Ledrir. Aztroc met with Cyrus I outside of the city, and they planned the attack together, trading strategies and arguing extensively before settling on the best plan. Aztroc and Cyrus I were friends from then on.   The final piece of the puzzle was the District of Teritheya, the capital of the Empire and the place where Fairy and Fae lived together in peace. The fairies with their magic could be quite dangerous if they supported the fae- but as the human and monster armies approached Teritheya, one fairy was sent to them with a flag of peace, and a message of support. When the fighting in Teritheya began, the fairies sided with the slaves, and ultimately the rebels won. The fae were driven back, and they flew over the Sicatrin Mountains, hiding in Tsaraknit where the worst of the slaves used to be trapped.   After celebrations occurred, Aztroc was granted the title of King of Monsters, his friend Cyrus I became King of Humans, and Neon Sapphire, the fairies' elected leader, became High King of fairies. The districts were given out, the kingdoms named, and the slow process of lawmaking began. It was a long time before King Aztroc married, finding a boss monster woman named Gortyla who had been a heroine during the war. Twenty-four years after Gortyla had given birth to their first and only son Asgore, King Aztroc contracted a rare illness and died, leaving the kingdom to his son.

Accomplishments & Achievements

In his thirties, Aztroc led his fellow monsters to rebel against the Sicatrin Empire, inspiring humans and fairies to follow after him as well, though with their own leaders. Aztroc is believed to be the driving force that finally led the Sicatrin Empire to fall, and the humans and monsters to be freed at last from generations of enslavement. Thus, Aztroc is sometimes called by the monsters the Father of Freedom.

Mental Trauma

Aztroc suffered a great many things in his first thirty years, moving from prison camp to prison camp in The District of Tsaraknit under the rule of Fae slavers.   Aztroc was taken from his mother soon after turning eight years old, and for a long time he was forced to work as an ironsmith in Prehens.   Aztroc met a beautiful woman there, a humanoid monster named Lyli who worked day and night as a seamstress, and he fell in love. But when he expressed his feelings to her, and suggested that they run away together, Lyli became afraid and informed her superiors, the slavers. Lyli was taken away from Prehens, and Aztroc was punished, branded on his neck with the mark of a runaway. Never again did Aztroc love a woman, and never again did he trust without question.

Taboos

Ever since his experience with Lyli, marriage was a sensitive subject for Aztroc, even when he finally relented and married in order to produce an heir. The concept of romance and sex were forever colored by what she did to him.
