King Asgore Dreemurr
Physical Description
Highly fit and muscled, especially on the upper body. Fairly agile, with a strong Soul.
The ridges on the left horn have orange color shining through, and his left eye, too, has been colored orange by Fae magic.
Mental characteristics
Though Asgore never suffered near the level of trauma that his father, Aztroc Dreemurr, did, he still feels the mental scar of when his father passed away suddenly when Asgore was only twenty-four, and his mother Gortyla passed away soon after. Asgore handled the deaths of his parents very badly, and in the midst of all of the responsibilities that he now had to endure, he became very lonely and depressed. He does not want to feel that again, and thus tries very hard to keep his family safe and together. Asgore also invests a fair amount of the treasury into medical research, magic or otherwise, so that hopefully the illness that struck and killed his parents could be stopped were it to come for revenge.
When Asgore was twenty-five,
he gave the order to execute a
Monster who was very likely guilty of a heinous crime against a woman. It was not long after the execution when it was found that he had not, in fact, done this, and the one who had framed the now-dead man ran. Asgore apologized to the family and to his kingdom, but never felt that he could make up for what he'd done.
Ordering an execution is something that Asgore wishes to never do again, so he delegates the task to Gaster, and watches over that particular part of Gaster's job very carefully, for fear of a repeat of his past mistakes.
Personality Characteristics
His duty towards his kingdom and his family have always driven Asgore to do whatever he believes will be best, though such decisions can be hard to make and have caused great, eternal guilt in him.
Asgore's reign lasted for 64 years, ranging from when he was 24 to when he died in battle at 88.
At first Asgore ruled just as he saw his father doing, with a heavy hand and heart, but when he executed the wrong man for a terrible crime he backpedaled. The kingdom suffered under his rule for a long time after that, since he did not know how to run the kingdom. When Gaster arrived, begging for assistance to take down the
Church of the True God, Asgore sent soldiers to do so and adopted Gaster. The people celebrated in the streets when they learned that the Church had been destroyed, and Gaster soon began to advise Asgore on how to run the kingdom, improving the infrastructure and working extensively on the justice system. Under the combined rule of Asgore and his son Gaster, the kingdom began once again to flourish.

History
Asriel thinks of his parents so much. But Asgore was convinced that his son was dead, and so only mourned him. Asriel was never able to see his father again after his execution, for Asgore fell in battle just before Asriel arrived at the camp.
History
Gaster ran away from the Church of the True God and straight to Capital city when his sister convinced him to break free. Asgore sent a small army to the place Gaster pointed out on his map, and allowed Gaster to stay in the castle until his family came.
It soon became clear that Gaster had no family, and that Asgore would either have to leave the boy to fend for himself on the streets, or find him a home. Asgore could not help but give Gaster his own home, making Gaster his first son. Soon Gaster noticed Asgore's lack of ruling skills and began to advise him, starting a sort of father-son bonding routine where they would discuss their very different opinions on how to deal with a particular situation. Over time, they began to understand each other more, and now they disagree less.
