(a.k.a. Tantrum)
Tantrum is a U.S. American Rogue active in Cape St. Joan, Oregon. He is a member of The Crew and as of 2023 hold the record for highest amount of collateral damage in dollars (adjusted for inflation) by an single criminal in Cape St. Joan (not counting Jane Doe).
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Tantrum is a tall bull of a man. According to speculation and extrapolated dates, he is at least forty years old.
Special abilities
Tantrum is a Brute-type that gains durability and physical strength by exerting his power. This means that to reach the early stages of his abilities, simply physical exertion does suffice, while later stages require more heavy obstacles to use the power against. Tantrum usually accomplishes this by destroying various object in his environment. Against specific supers able to take enough of a beating, he is able to push his power even further.
Apparel & Accessories
Tantrum's costume consists of heavy pieces of plating held together by rope and steel clamps. They protect the torso and legs, with minimal concern given to movability and speed. This is due to the fact that he tends to quickly outgrow the armour once he enters into combat. His face is covered by a ski mask printed with the stars and stripes pattern, as well as an front-open biker helmet.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Tantrum made his first appearance in Salem, Oregon in the late 1980s. Originally running with a Rogue group known as the West Salem Sabbath, a team consisting of mostly young and rebellious supers, he bailed town after most of his teammates were arrested two years later by the Salem Stalwarts.
Moving to Cape St. Joan, he quickly fell in with The Crew, a local gang that been taken over by some of its superpowered members a few years prior.
Over the following years, he quickly gained a reputation for his extremely destructive modus operandi. While technically less dangerous than Tunguska, he managed to accumulate the largest criminal record of any Crew member, mostly due to near endless counts of destruction of public property and other such adventitious charges incurred with every superpowered crime.
In 2002, during combat with Cape Lost Boy, he injured his opponent to such a degree that the super was left paralyzed from the back down, with limited control over his arms. While the matter was brought before a court to rule whether this constituted a violation of the golden rules and the Human/Superman Regulations Act, as Tantrum had employed potentially deadly force in combat, the case was ruled to fall within the normal employ of superpowers in super-to-super combat.
In 2018 Tantrum, alongside the rest of the Crew, participated in the hunt for Jane Doe during "D-Day".
In 2021, Tantrum made headlines for his attempt to damage or destory parts of Lynwood Bridge during a battle with Black Jack, from which he was eventually forced to flee as reinforcements threatened to arrive.
Volume 1: Balance
In 2023, Tantrum participated in the Crew's battle against vigilante team Disequilibria and their allies. In the aftermath of the fight, he was arrested by law enforcement.
