Elves
There are a good many types of elves, but they have a good many features in common. Growing to about the height of men or a touch taller, they are slight of frame and slender of build, with sharp, angular facial features, long, pointed ears, and almond shaped eyes. But do not let their thin physique lead you to believe they are all weak, elves can still be as strong and swift as any man. They are extraordinarily slow aging and long lived, to the point of being on par with dragons. There are ancient, wizened elves whose bodies have become frail over the ages, but the Record does not include a case of one dying specifically of old age. This slow aging comes with a low fertility rate, making elves one of the least populous of the major races. They also have a particularly high affinity for magic, with most elves having at least minor magical talent. While several elvish dialects exist, they all share a common root in the Sylvan language tree, sharing the fae branch with faeries and aven.
