Half-Elves
Also worth noting are the half-elves, the product of mixed human and elvish bloodlines. Half-elves present with a mix of their parents’ features, typically standing at human height with a build heavier than an elf but slender for a human. Their ears are still pointed, but shorter than a full blood elves’ would be. They age somewhat more slowly than humans, reaching full maturity around thirty, but still significantly sooner than elves. Likewise their lifespans can count into several centuries on occasion, maxing out somewhere between three and four hundred years. Half-elves do not have a distinct homeland or culture of their own, instead living amongst either or both of their parent groups. They tend to struggle truly fitting in well with either sires’ culture, often resulting in them becoming wanderers and adventurers.
Origin/Ancestry
Half-Elves are the offspring of a mix of elven and human parentage. The children of Half-Elves are likewise generally called Half-Elves, even if this is not an accurate description of their proportion of elvish ancestry.
