High Elves

Sometimes called the first born or sun elves by their own kind, high elves hail from the southern continent of Syridia, in what is now known as the Cursed Jungle. To hear them tell it, they migrated north from beyond the Syridian Slopes, though it was so long ago that none remain who remember if it truly happened. Those who remained in the south speak Noble Fae, a very formal, flowery dialect of Sylvan. They typically have pale, white, pink, or violet skin and blue, green, purple, or gray eyes, and light brown, blonde, white, silver, or purple hair. For centuries they maintained a fairly elitist, isolationist existence, using their geography to distance themselves from other kingdoms. Theirs was the last of the “free kingdoms” not beholden to one of the elder dragons. Though this was a point of pride, it ended in their downfall, as the Sunwood Kingdom was sacked and subsequently conquered by the green greatwyrm Viridia. The few high elves remaining live either in exile or hiding out in the remote corners of the jungle.
