Northern Outpost

The Northern Outpost is the last bastion of civilization before the empty tundra between Northland and Sundra.  This simply named fortress was built just after the Second Great Dragon War.  Located just north of The Mirrored Mountains and the orchards of the Halflings in Cozy Hollow, it guards the pass north.   After the war, most of the Dragon Army of Tiamat retreated back north to the Dragon Temple, and Betewl the Beholder is still believed to be rule there. And so the realms wanted to have a Keep there as first line of defense. The Northern Outpost is manned by soldiers from all over Breland and Draigenmore, Northland, as well as Elves from Lilandi and Dwarves from Iron Peak. As it is near Iron Peak, the Northern Outpost falls ultimately under King Farin Ironfist the Hammerheart's command.
