The Winter Forest
The Winter Forest is ruled by Queen Miva, married to King Lotar. The two have a single daughter, Princess Hannoleth. The Winter Forest, as its name suggests, is a forest in a perpetual state of winter. The Winter Forest is home to the Winter Shrine, an elaborate monument in the centre of the Forest. Eladrin born in the Winter Forest retain their winter qualities regardless of environmental season, as they go through a ritual somewhat like baptism as a coming of age ceremony in the waters of the Winter Shrine; royals of the Winter Forest undergo this ceremony at birth. Eladrin born outside of the Forests may also go through this ritual if they wish to become a citizen of the Winter Forest, though adult citizens of the other four Forests may not undergo this ritual, as they have already undergone the ritual of their own Forest.
Eladrin of the Winter Forest have a colder personality, being more held back and reserved. They are generally pessimists, and often prepare for the worst. They are wary of consuming resources, are much more personal, and many hold an everyone-for-themselves attitude. They tend to be more analytical, calculating, and often manipulating, and do not trust easily, especially those not a citizen of their Forest.
