Camantha
A young but vibrant monarchy with strong academic explorations to ancient sites and a stronger trading center. Camantha has become one of the trading capitals of the north, controlling and protecting the safer valley roads between the San and Stron Mountains. But with successful trade always come those to steal the wealth, giving Camantha some problems with bandits and con artists.
History
Camantha people are the descendents of either struggling remnants of the Chealain Empire, subjugated Wolntareans, or displaced citizens of the war between Phamos and Eveavion. These bands of people slowly came together in the late 900s and in 1010 they declared themselves the nation of Camantha, establishing a monarchy.
Tensions over Camantha’s eastern border with their neighbor, Tajarat, grew quickly. Some Camanthian nobles wanted more but Tajarat was not willing to share any land. In 1018, before tensions could break into war, both nation’s monarchs signed an agreement, where the Tajarat border had been for around a century was to be the border between the nations. This effectively brought the discontented nobles to peace, especially when the majority of the nobles were in agreement with the Border Treaty.
Since then, Camantha has been in control of the wide valley between the San Mountains to the north and the Stron Mountains to the south and has controlled trade between Eveavion and Phamos to Tajarat, what little there is. Since the finish of the Merinbec Trading Square, in 1049, in Camantha’s capitol of Finona City, Camantha has become a trading center of the north where almost any goods or services can be found.
In 1172, Camantha’s most famous school formed a joint team with a school in Tajarat to start exploring an ancient site located near the border and since Camantha has assisted and been assisted by Tajarat in adventure sites across the region.
