Orc
Orcs are a hideous, green or grey-skinned race of elf originally hailing from the islands of Structuro and Structzeno, but now mainly residing in the Faerii Place.
Homeland
Main Articles: Structuro, Structzeno, & Faerii Place Orcs originated on the cold, arctic islands of Structuro and Structzeno and split from the Old Elves around the same time as their cousins, the Light Elves. However, instead of using storm magic to regulate temperature, the ancestors of the Orcs instead used destruction magic. During the Great Orcish Banishment, the vast majority of Orc tribes, including the entire kingdom of Yazgabar, were sent to the hellish dimension of the Faerii Place. The Faerii Place is the realm of Tiilaer, the god of destruction. As such, the realm is almost entirely made of destruction magic, featuring a confusing "flowing" geography with a large, cave-like structure, making the Faerii Place impossible to map. The walls and floor of the dimension are made of a material resembling searing flesh. Pools of lava and scattered flames dot the landscape of the Faerii Place.Description
Through their heavy use of destruction magic, the appearance of Orcs has been heavily influenced by the power of Tiilaer, resulting in a grotesque, beast-like appearance in a similar vain to that of demons, who also came about through the influence of Tiilaer. Orcs prominently feature a heavy build, green or grey skin, large tusks, a pronounced underbite, and lumps across their bodies, appearing like tumors. Some features of their elf ancestors still remain, such as their height, pointed ears, and long lifespan.Culture
The Orc race can be divided into two separate cultures: the culture of the small, Orcish tribes that were able to remain on Structuro and Structzeno and the culture of the Orcs that were banished to the Faerii Place. Orcs on Structuro and Structzeno live quiet lives, constantly in hiding from the Light Elves that call the islands home. To the Light Elves, Orcs are seen as beasts or pests that need to be exterminated. To avoid attention from Light Elves, Orcs often live in underground strongholds within mountains built for defense. These strongholds of usually built into naturally appearing caves. The architecture of Orcs can sometimes seem senseless to outsiders, often featuring long, rectangular monuments and obelisks or seemingly random stone formations dotting the wilderness. It could be that these structures once served a navigational purpose to the Orc tribes or have some sort of cultural significance. Upon being banished to the Faerii Place, Orcs were quickly enslaved by the much more powerful and ruthless, demons. Over centuries, Orcs in the Faerii Place have been slowly bred into a much more dangerous and feral breed. Their culture often lines up with the culture of the demons, but in a more subservient manner. Orcs have historically use as cannon fodder within Tiilaer's armies and as such, the Orcs of the Faerii Place rarely have any sense of caution or regard for their own life.Religion
Main Article: Undead Pantheon Many Orcs, especially those within the Faerii Place, follow the Undead Pantheon. The Undead Pantheon worships Tiilaer as the Antigod along with the 7 Devils and the Reaper. The Undead Pantheon recognizes the existence of the other gods, but views them as evil and does not worship them. The Undead Pantheon prioritizes anarchy and chaos over order. It is likely that some Orc tribes still follow some form of the Old Elvish Pantheon, as well.Orc Names
