Aether Elves

The Aether Elves are a proud and secluded race that consider themselves the pinnacle of all other races. They live in a matriarchal society, where each House is ruled by a leader known as a Paragon. The Aether Elves are known for their haughty attitude and belief in their own superiority, as well as their mastery of magic. All members of the race are gifted in one form of magic or another, making them incredibly powerful and respected. Their mastery of magic has allowed them to create wondrous, enchanted cities floating high in the sky, hidden away from the prying eyes of the other races.

Despite their aloof demeanour, the Aether Elves are a powerful and skilled race, with abilities that are unmatched by any other. They are highly valued for their knowledge and expertise in magic, and those who seek their counsel often must navigate complex social hierarchies and prove their worth to be granted an audience with a Paragon. The Paragons are the guardians of the ancient knowledge of the Aether Elves, and are rumoured to possess magic that can alter the very fabric of reality.

In addition to their mastery of magic, the Aether Elves are also the primary producers of airships, and they have a deep understanding of the art of flight. Their airships are highly sought after, and their engineers and craftsmen are considered to be some of the best in the world. With their mastery of magic and their exceptional engineering skills, the Aether Elves are able to construct airships that can soar higher and faster than any other in the world. Despite their haughty and reclusive nature, the Aether Elves are a force to be reckoned with, and their power and influence are respected throughout the land.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Humanoid, two arms, two legs, each with 5 digits. Opposable thumbs on the hands. Standard muscular structure, but on the lesser end of the scale. Skeletal structure is the same as most other humanoids.

Genetics and Reproduction

Standard Pregnancy for a humanoid mammal, period being 9 months.

Growth Rate & Stages

Infancy for a young elf is from Birth through to the end of the first decade of life, with children of the same decade usually being raised in the same age group. Childhood then goes from the first decade through to approx. 90 years of age, with the final decade being classed as adolescence.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Omnivorous, with a preference towards vegetation. They also are not fond of sweet and highly processed foods, such as sweet baked foods etc. Most Wood Elves are also Lactose intolerant after infancy.

The society of the Aether Elves is ruled over by the Paragons, heads of the Elven Houses. These Paragons are chosen based on their magical abilities and political savvy, and they lead the House with the help of a council of advisors. Despite their haughty nature and belief in their own superiority, the Aether Elves are a close-knit society that values family and bonds above all else. Each House is a close-knit unit, bound together by the shared ties of blood, magic, and tradition.
