Olanna

"Everything begins in the home. The best way to save the world from darkness is to protect your family."
Olanna

Olanna is the goddess of protection and motherhood. When she woke up and began to travel the world, the thing that drew her interest the most was families, and especially children. She saw the love between husband and wife and between mother and child and knew it was what she wanted above all else. Though she wasn't sure her kind was even meant to be parents, she prayed fervently to Evendur that it could be so. She became acquainted with Corinnis after she returned the first time to the Valley of the Meydra and he began to court her. However, Fierel saw her beauty and pursued her as well, offering all the land, power, and gold in the world, but she easily saw the darkness in his heart and refused him. Some time after she and Corinnis married, she finally became the first of the Meydra to have a child of her own, and from that point she became fiercely protective of all Meydra and had three more children. She was known to beg Evendur for the wisdom to know what was best for her children and teach them as much as she could in the limited amount of time she had before they would grow up and go off on their own. She spent most of her days in the Valley of the Meydra and was known to offer counsel to any Meydra in need of assistance.   She is patroness of parents, especially mothers, and families, and is often portrayed as a strong middle-aged woman with silver hair and a blue gown. Frequently she is shown with a tower shield donned.
