Wulozha

"Surely I am not worthy. Surely no one is. But should we not try? As long as there exist the weak, the defenseless, should we not try to be the thing they so desperately need?"
Wulozha to Marosk

Wulozha is the goddess of justice. She was greatly inspired by Marosk teachings of order and law but saw where it was lacking: there was no system in place to address wrongdoing when it did happen. She became a proponent of the justice system, as she called it, which would aim to minimize crime, allow due process to criminals and victims alike, and provide recompense to the latter. A few times Wulozha enlisted the aid of Lesh in the development of this system, and she singlehandedly developed the spell Zone of Truth during the Era of Cloud, revealing it to one of her archclerics. Over her life, she eventually saw that the spread of civilization was necessary to make justice possible, as crimes committed over unclaimed soil could not be accounted or reckoned for. Thus she worked closely with Marosk to help further the settlement of humanoids across Ekaia, especially Talazic, and through this work they became close friends and trusted allies. Wulozha prayed to Evendur every day for the wisdom to know what was right, not believing herself to be equipped to exact justice but seeing no one else willing. Wulozha is portrayed as a human woman in gladiatorial garb, often holding scales.

Relationships

Wulozha was single for a long time but eventually married Mannaret and had two daughters with him, Arielis and Miranelle. She was allied with Marosk and after he was taken in by Shej, Wulozha hunted her viciously to exact justice, but could never catch her.

Followers

It was many ages before Wulozha's ideas of justice evolved past trial by combat, hence her traditional portrayal as a gladiator. When civilization was advanced enough to sustain it, her clerics began to receive visions directing them to establish positions and protocols that would create a justice system that didn't rely on violence. Today, Wulozha has a great many followers among lawmakers and noblemen, and those with a strong devotion to her frequently also have a strong devotion to Marosk, and vice versa. Her clerics are usually skilled warriors.
