The Desolation of Gaulvista

The Desolation of Gaulvista began during the Eventide when the drow forces of Mavislak the Blood-eyed invaded the Talazichian kingdom of Gaulvista, seizing many of its major cities and beginning to construct portals to other worlds, through which they intended to release monsters which would march across the land and destroy the surface world. After reports came of their defeat during the Battle of Geldereth, the nightbringers in Silune executed King Aaravel Ashamë and Queen Cemrorelle Ashamë in front of the citizens of the city, igniting all-out war.
Though the nightbringers were driven back into the Underdark with haste, the death of the royal family and many authorities across the kingdom plunged the land into long-lasting conflict, eventually leading to the dissolution of the kingdom of Gaulvista.
