Igma Mountains
The Igma Mountains are a large mountain range that separates the countries of Kureta and Colere. It stretches from The Great Ice Desert in the north, down to the western side of The Slithering Wilds. Two large rivers feed into Kureta Lake from these mountains, bringing fresh, mineral rich water to the capital. On the western side of the mountains, another river flows into Colere, and south through Polemis into the sea.
The range has two mountain passes that offer a route between the separated countries - one to the north near the Monastery of Stone, the other to the south of Bounty Mine. Both paths are treacherous, however, and unsuitable for caravan traffic. For this reason, trade between Kureta and Colere is sparse, with most goods being exchanged via sea travel.
Fauna & Flora
Several animals have been seen living within the mountains, including goats, pumas, birds of prey, and deer. Rumours suggest that the mountains are also home to Earth and Fire Dragons.
Natural Resources
The depths of The Igma Mountains are mined heavily by the dwarves of Bounty Mine, where precious metals and gems are produced. Other mining operations on both sides of the mountains have produced coal, but many such mines have since shut down due to the inefficiency of coal as a resource, compared to Magic.
Thank The Goddess for this gorgeous mountain range. It's the only thing that separates us from the madness of Colere's civil war.
