Session 2.7
General Summary
The party resumed the second leg of this three leg journey from the city of Labrie to the city of Hecht(Each leg is about 5 days) having set up camp on the outskirts of the city of Feyruit. The group's restful night’s sleep was interrupted by Priestess Luna who had a concerning dream, which she immediately shrugged off when her allies had inquired about her well-being.
A little over two days into the second leg a skittish Elven noble by the name of Melchior Greenleaf emerged from out of nowhere. Lord Greenleaf stated he was being chased by an assassin, and fearing for his life he had offered the party gold and passage to what was unbeknownst to anyone as the Eleven Capital of Faerun. Agreeing to help the pathetic elf the party assumed a defensive formation waiting for his assailant to appear… except after about ten minutes nothing happened. He had then asked his saviors to escort him back to his home, to which the group once again obliged. In return he pointed out a secret path right off of the main road, invisible to the naked eye, through the forest in which the trees began to part for the party. Continuing down this path there were inhabitants of the forest in plain white wooden masks carrying on with their daily activities. As the group passed, these civilians took in the newcomers.
The forest cleared revealing the Elven Capital of Faerun. A city unlike anything any of any of the party has ever experienced. It was a city suspended among four giant elder trees, and surrounding the four Elder Trees were 4 concentric beautiful circles of housing spread throughout a beautiful waterway. The road then lead to a large stone bridge to the center of the city and encountered even more masked citizens some wearing green masks with antlers, armed soldiers/guards in fox masks, commoners in plain white masks.
Lord Greenleaf directed Rhorn who was steering the party's wagon towards his residence on District 2, one of the districts spanning the platforms among the Elder tree. Upon reaching his residence he asked Rhorn and Zhorn to scour the manor for signs of the assailant. A thorough search yielded nothing of real interest with the exception of with the exception of a possible room behind a bookcase. This was quickly denied by Lord Melchior saying it was simply a panic room that hasn't been in use for quite some time. The eleven noble had thanked you for your time and service and gave provided the group with 100GP for escorting him as he quickly changed the subjected and ushered the party out of his home. However he did offer to petition the group as his guests while in the capital in the Hall of Records.
After parting ways Priestess Luna entered the temple dedicated to Lisandria and Misandril and prayed to her diety, but was overcome by the entire ambience including the incense which triggered a vision/flashback to her dream a few day prior which included a dark room, red skin, and excruciating pain. After momentarily losing consciousness the Priestess woke up being tended to by one of the temple priests, and soon being joined by two more religious worshippers, who recognized her as the Fourth Cleric General of the Onyx Order. They said that they would relay the dreams to their superiors for investigation.
While this was happening the rest of the party got lodging at the Inn known as Tree’s Company.
While walking through the tavern area Zhorn faced an insensitive comment from one of the Patrons, but Fannti managed to calm him down, and continued on with the day. Later upon Priestess Luna's return the group decided rest for the night. As the group woke up, in Rhorn and Zhorn's room there was an note stuck to a wall by a knife which read, “Do not interfere with the Reach, further interventions will result in consequences…”
