Charolais Farm

The road made its way to a tremendous ranch surrounded by an old, stone wall. The farm had a tranquil feel to it, there was just something about the farm that felt very intimate and welcoming.
The house was renovated recently, and thus in splendid condition. It had fanciful designs painted around the border of each window and door, and up in the eaves: vines and imaginary flowers and the kind of fruit these folks had only ever seen in picture books. The windows had thick, embroidered drapes with equally cheerful designs. Two chicken coops and a bunny hatch provided shelter to livestock. A large, home-built barbecue stood at the edge of the courtyard. A few rows of fruit trees were visible just beyond the courtyard before the workshop blocked the visitor's view.

Purpose / Function

The most successful, prosperous farm in greater Purgatory Gulch, these folks grow anything they can put into glass or cans. They were lucky enough many years ago to be the first locals encountered by Ruggiero Bicchieri and the Bicchieri Caravan, so they began a strong trading agreement that usually nets them first pick of the incoming trade goods.
Charolais grows fruit on vines and bushes, they have a carefully-guarded orchard, they have a fine herb garden for pickling cucumbers or eggs, they even grow a few plots of squash in summer and autumn.
