Crawfish Clan
A minor clan formed from the survivors of Sweet Water after the Night of Shooting Stars. After escaping from Sweet Water, a group of survivors managed to inform the Empire of the threat the demons posed. After, they were able to root out several corrupting influences in the region and secure the favor of the Lord Regent. After Phoenicia Prince, daughter of a Crab samurai and a Yobanjin warrior woman, married Drakas, a Scorpion without proper family lineage, the Lord Regent granted the formation of the Crawfish Clan. Due to their track record of finding and neutralizing threats to the Empire, they were tasked with being a reactionary force to neutralize or contain threats that appear that the main Imperial forces would be unable to react to in time.
The Crawfish Clan established a trade post between Carator and Sorpigal, a short distance from the underground kingdom of the Stone Dragon dwarves. They use this outpost to supply them with unusual magical items and a place to unload equipment that they acquire while doing their duty to the Empire.
Structure
The Crawfish are a loosely affiliated clan at present as they do not have the numbers for a more organized structure. Members were recruited from the ronin warriors and shugenja and are sent out in groups. It is this loose structure, however, that allows them to mobilize as soon as an order is given.
Public Agenda
The Crawfish are assigned the task of quickly reacting to problems that arise that the Empire cannot respond to fast enough. They can move anywhere in the Empire without interference, provided they do not interfere in matters outside their mission.
Assets
The Crawfish have established a trade post between Carator and Sorpigal that allows them easy access to either region, as well as the ability to trade with the Stone Dragon dwarves. This allows them to sell the equipment they take off of traitors and acquire assets that are sold to them in turn.
History
The Crawfish have only existed a few years, not long enough to establish a history.
Demography and Population
The Crawfish are mostly comprised of former ronin warriors and shugenja. They are otherwise comprised of merchants and tradesmen that run their outpost.
Territories
The Crawfish hold a small region between Carator and Sorpigal, on which they have established a trade outpost that doubles as their base of operations.
Military
The fighting power of the Crawfish isn't organized or regimented. It is comprised of individuals that were recruited for their prowess in the martial and magical arts. As such, they are few in number but each is strong in their own right.
Foreign Relations
The Crawfish are a new organization and have not had time to interact with the other Clans. As such, most other groups view them with either contempt or apathy.
