The Emerald District
The mansions of various lords and nobles in the capital are found in the Emerald District, so it is the wealthiest part of the city. Besides being stacked with estates, huge houses and villas, many of the Temples to Gods are located in this rich district, the largest of which is the Dawn Temple dedicated to The Father.
This district is home to the Emerald Gate, which is only for the rich and well known. The guards will simply turn anyone away they deem unworthy of entrance.

Shops
- Crown Jewelers: this is the most popular jeweler and garment producer in the city. All the richest people in the city come to Joan, for their lavish needs.
Points of interest
Temples
- The Dawn Temple: The largest of the temples was built long ago in honor of Aére, the Father. This temple is home to the order of priestesses who serve Him.
- Temple to Valli: Where druids and other powerful natural practitioners of Ancient Magic pray.
- The Crypts of the Fallen: This underground temple houses the revered dead.
- Temple to Cassavara: this smaller temple is located on the edge of the Emerald District near the Topaz District. Many halflings who don't serve Aére, follow her teachings.
- The New Temple to the Platinum Dragon: After being destroyed by a white dragon, the temple relocated inside the walls of the city.
