The Sapphire District

The docks, market stalls, and many warehouses along the waterfront make up the Sapphire District. Most of the cities tourists arriving on ships from other cities are greeted to the capital by a plethora of small shops and stalls in the warm ocean air. Following the main street west will take you right to the front gate of the castle.

Points of interest

Taverns

  • The Brass Monkey: A must see for visitors to the capital. Located on the edge of Sapphire Square, many customers sit on the patio watching street performers in the warm ocean breeze.
  • The Dragon Queen: The once majestic pirate ship turned bar, is a popular hang out for wanna be pirates and sailors looking to join a rowdy crew.
  • The Mariner's Inn: An inn known for comfortable beds. Most of the captains of the Royal Navy spend time here.

Attractions

  • Sapphire Square: this is the center of the city and location of all celebrations. There are many shops and market stalls with street performers, musicians, and vendors all over.
  • The Piers: a large wharf with shops, markets, and walkways welcoming new travelers to Emerald Bay.
  • The Fisherman's Market: Where all the fish caught fresh in The Great Bay can be sold daily.
  • Tailor's Alley: Also called Silk Street, this is where many of the finest clothing shops in the Kingdom can be found. The most prominent one is owned by the famous Basil Bartholomew Archibald Fluffletussel IV.
  • The Fortune Teller's Den

  • Rolen's Regards: this large general store sits near the docks and is usually one of the first stops for new adventurers to the city.
  • The Thunderforge: Voza, the most famous Dwarf blacksmith owns this famous smithy.
