Elves. When you hear the word i'm sure and image of mystical creatures greatly intuned with magic, but in reality they are just like the rest of the mortal races. They eat like the other races, sleep like the other races and even hate like the other reaces. Though they would never admit to the similarities.-Resi, The Races of Erilel
Basic Information
Anatomy
Elves have similar anatomy and morphology to men, with two arms and legs, along with also having 206 bones. The only major difference is that elven leg and arm bones are longer than men's bones.
Biological Traits
Elves are known for having long, pointy ears as well as their slenderness when compared to men of the same height range. They also tend to have a lower muscle mass than other species.
Genetics and Reproduction
Elves reproduce via the same method as men, except they gestate for 13 months before live birth. Elves also have the lowest fertility rate of the mortal species.
Growth Rate & Stages
Elves age slower than the other mortal races and have no real puberty period. They are considered physically mature at age 40 but not adults for another ten years. They are considered middle-aged at 100 years, and old aged at 200 years.
Ecology and Habitats
Elves can live just about anywhere though most prefer warmer temperatures, of course, the Snow Elves defy this.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Elves have a diet of both plant life and meat, often going out hunting and gathering for their meals.

Social Structure
Elves social structures change greatly depending on the subspecies but most have patriarchal societies where men are in charge and rule almost all parts of the society. The most notable exception is magic schools where all start on equal footing.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
Most Elves live south of the Darkfall Mountains, thought the Snow Elves moved north of the mountain range.
Elves came from the forested continent of Yoshuna and some are said to still live there.
Average Intelligence
Elves are said to have higher intelligence than the other mortal races, though all this testing was done by Light Elves, so this is disputed.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Elves have above average hearing and sight but have below-average taste and average touch. Elves are also exceptionally gifted in the arcane arts.

The cults of the Arae and Darae are all spread throughout these provinces and the other guilds also have footholds there.

History
Elves were first created in the early Creation Era. They lived on Yoshuna for many years until a huge volcanic eruption is said to have destroyed Yoshuna and they left the continent. After arriving in Everstone the elves began to separate and move all over Erilel.
During the 1st Era, some of the main Elven organisations were founded, such as the Mages Guild.
In the 2nd Era, the Snow Elves founded the Empire of Snow and conquered most of Erilel. This lasted as a great kingdom until the reign of Queen Leena, who was a terrible ruler and this incited a rebellion that lasted for 3 years before Queen Leena was killed. The empire was dissolved but this didn't last for long as King Vaeril II created the second empire.
The second empire only lasted for about 150 years until the dragon riders arrived and began to conquer all of the elves. During the 3rd Era, the elves were mostly subjugated under the dragon riders and men. After many failed rebellion resulting in the deaths of hundreds of elves, the Great Rebellion was started by the Light Elven council.
This rebellion grew until the dragon riders were defeated.
In the 4th Era, the elves rebelled again and won their freedom from the Empire of Man. After this, the Light Elves, Dark Elves and Wood Elves formed the Elven Alliance and now run their own provinces with the Court of Elves. Though the Snow Elves remained in the Empire of Man and do not seem to want to leave.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Elves generally see themselves as better than the other mortal races, but they especially hate the Yiru and other beast races.
