Infernal Brew Inn

The Infernal Brew Inn is an imposing yet welcoming structure that captures the rustic charm and infernal themes of its name. The inn is built from a combination of sturdy stone and rich, dark wood, giving it a solid and enduring presence. The stone walls are rough-hewn, showing the craftsmanship that went into their construction, while the wooden beams and accents add warmth to the exterior. The two-story building is topped with a thatched roof that gives it a traditional, almost quaint appearance, despite its grand size.  
The Infernal Brew Inn's sign features a stylized depiction of a tiefling holding a mug of steaming drink, with flames curling around the edges, hinting at the inn's fiery theme. Inside, the inn exudes a warm, welcoming atmosphere with rustic wooden furniture, dim lighting, and a cozy bar area. The walls are adorned with tapestries depicting infernal and forest scenes. The dining area has a mix of wooden tables and plush chairs, offering comfort to patrons. The air is filled with the aroma of spicy meats and sweet treats.
Lighting. Oil sconces are set into the walls of all rooms, but they are only lit in rooms that are currently occupied.   Ceilings. 10 feet high   Windows. Most of the rooms have windows. Heavy shutters are pulled closed during the evening.   Doors, External. External doors are made of wood reinforced with bands of steel.   Doors, Internal. Most internal doors are made of wood.   Occupants. Tables buzz with animated conversations, laughter, and final farewells. Families share stories, musicians tune instruments, and travelers sip on "Dragon's Breath."   Innkeeper. Karmir the Innkeeper - A male tiefling with short, curved horns and eyes that gleam like molten gold. Karmir wears a tailored dark vest adorned with intricate flame motifs, and his crimson skin contrasts sharply with his neatly tied, dark hair.   Room Cost. 5 sp  Stable Stall. 2 sp

Architecture

Exterior Features:

  Entrance: A large, arched wooden door welcomes visitors, flanked by lanterns with ironwork depicting twisting flames. Above the door hangs the inn’s sign: a stylized tiefling holding a mug of steaming brew, with flames elegantly curling around the edges, hinting at the infernal theme within.   Windows: The windows are tall and narrow, with dark wooden shutters that can be closed against the cold. The glass panes are slightly tinted, giving the light from inside a warm, inviting glow.   Balcony: The second story features a wooden balcony that wraps around part of the building, offering views of the surrounding forest. The railing is intricately carved with patterns of flames and leaves, blending the inn's infernal and natural themes.  

Interior Layout:

  First Floor: Upon entering, you are greeted by the warm, cozy atmosphere of the main hall. The flooring is made of polished wood, and the walls are adorned with tapestries depicting infernal and forest scenes, giving the space an otherworldly charm. The bar area, located to the right, is crafted from dark wood with brass accents, featuring stools upholstered in deep red leather. The dining area consists of wooden tables and plush chairs arranged to provide comfort and privacy. The room is dimly lit by iron chandeliers and wall sconces, adding to the cozy and slightly mysterious ambiance. The air is filled with the enticing aroma of spicy meats and sweet treats, further enhancing the inviting atmosphere.   Second Floor: The upper level houses private rooms for guests. Each room is furnished with a large, comfortable bed, a wooden dresser, and a small table with chairs. The rooms are designed to be simple yet elegant, with warm wood tones, soft lighting, and tapestries that match the infernal-forest theme of the inn. Some rooms have access to the balcony, allowing guests to enjoy the view and fresh air.  

The Stable:

  Size and Structure: The stable is a large, stone-and-wood building located adjacent to the inn, designed to accommodate the unique and diverse mounts of the inn’s patrons. The stone base provides durability and strength, while the wooden upper structure and thatched roof maintain a cohesive look with the inn itself. The stable doors are wide and tall, allowing even the largest of creatures to enter with ease.   Interior: Inside, the stable is divided into spacious stalls with reinforced wooden partitions. Each stall is large enough to comfortably house Giant Elk, Giant Firebeetles, and even an owlbear, with enough room for them to move around. The stable floor is covered with soft hay, and there are large troughs for food and water. The ceiling is high, with beams that support hay lofts above. There is also a small area for stable hands to rest and store equipment.   Comfort and Care: The stable is designed with the comfort and care of the creatures in mind, with good ventilation, soft lighting, and a dedicated area for grooming and tending to the animals. The presence of bioluminescent plants in the corners adds a gentle glow, echoing the theme of the inn while providing a calming atmosphere for the animals.   Together, the Infernal Brew Inn and its stable create a harmonious blend of rustic charm, infernal elegance, and practical comfort, making it an ideal resting place for travelers and their extraordinary mounts.
