Summer Camp 2024 Reading & Wrap Up

I had a fantastic time for Summer Camp 2024 catching all sorts of inspiration that helped me develop lore and continue building on my world of Evermyst. I never expected to complete more than 16 articles I wanted to set what I thought would be a realistic limit on what I could get done. My life has been rather hectic over the last 4 years since I retired. Most of my plans to be making maps, and writing adventures have almost crawled to a standstill, and most of my time was getting my Elderly Parents' lives in order so they had some security and care and helping my spouse with her health issues and watching and spending time with grandchildren all these I know are admirable things to do in retirement but, I needed time to myself I got that for a little while in Summer Camp 2024. I am glad to have taken the time to write again it helped restore some of my sanity and drive.

Here are just some of the other worldbuilders whose articles I read and left comments on. I must say there are many neat people on World Anvil with wonderful Ideas for worldbuilding. I gleaned some new insights to improve my own articles and left comments on more than just 10 other Worldbuilder Summer Camp Articles. I left constructive suggestions where I could but I also understand these are their worlds. Who am I to tell them how to build their world? If I like an article enough I not only give it a heart but let them know I like it and why It's just too simple to just click like and move on. Congratulations to all who participated in Summer Camp 2024 I hope you found some inspiration and had fun building on your worlds.

What I learned from Summer Camp 2024:

• I learned many more worldbuilders write these articles in 300-400 words I must tend to explode sometimes unable to stop unless I hit over 1000 words. Times when I'm lost for words I can't even muster the 300 for a prompt or even a title.
• I Now question if the Grammarly extension is helping me anymore I'm on a tight budget so I only use the free version and sometimes it drives me nuts! so much that I pass over various paragraphs several times until all the underlining and Prompts to pay and get a better suggestion are gone.
• I learned there is a Great and positive community Here on World Anvil and I want to spend more time here among my fellow Anvilites.
• I learned despite my OCD Tendencies or Uncertainties I got 32 Articles done I thought I was going to have a Hard time Getting 16 done.

My World-Building Goals and Objectives for the next Half of the year:

1. I saw so many worldbuilders link other articles in their world within the actual textual content I keep forgetting to do this and need to learn how to do it again.
2. I plan to Finish out the Details of my Primary Races so I can Run Some Games In Evermyst
3. I want to learn more about how to get more followers in my World it's hard enough to just get my players to do so.
4. I want to run more games in my world of Evermsyt Hopin that will encourage more followers.
5. I want to RE-LEARN How to embed YouTube videos into my articles "I did it once..."
