Circe

Wife of King Philip and one-time Queen of Sarissa. The lover of Julius and, with him, the mother of Sarissa. In her childhood in Tunis (although she was clearly not ethnically native to Tunis) she stole her twin sister Hecate's sight and betrayed her to the god of the Underworld for power. Taken by Philip as spoils of war, she initially rejected him but eventually came to love (or at least accept) him.
Her first child was a princess, thought to be Philip's child but actually the result of an affair with her lover Julius. She was cast out after a soothsayer gave a dire warning. Her second child (with Philip) was a prince.
She ruled Sarissa with her husband, worshiping the god of the Underworld and continuing her affair with Julius, until the princess (now named Sarissa) was returned by Gin & Meade. Intrigue followed, and her sister escaped from the Five Realms of the Underworld and - after a bargain with the goddess of the Harvest - Circe was brought to the Underworld by the Crimson Huntsman in exchange for her sister's soul.
