Nazaala, the Feastmaster

The Spirit of Festive Cheer

Nazaala is known as the God of Grand Festivities and holds the seventh seat on the Pharosso Pantheon.
He is considered the god of revelry, alcohol, and feasts.   Said to be the son of Erima, Nazaala grew to become a beacon of delight and revelry across the elemental and material planes alike. Before his ascension to godhood, it's believed that he sought to visit the mortal lands at every chance he got, lighting the spark for wild parties and blessing them with the knowledge of brewing alcohol. Despite his divine duties, he still does his best to wander amongst mortalkind, taking great pleasure in living a humble existence, if only for brief moments.

Appearance

Much like his mother, Nazaala isn't known for his abundance of divine flair. While he certainly enjoys a more extravagant appearance, he rarely goes far beyond what might still be considered a mortal form. His true self is believed to be a large and fierce elemental, almost resembling a giant in shape. His common forms in turn maintain a muscular and tall appearance, usually bearing dark skin and black hair.   His clothing is often kept simple and sometimes plain, knowing full well that he'd likely ruin them rather quickly. But he's no stranger to dressing up for the occasion should he depart for a more elegant gathering. He's often described as a dashing and sometimes rugged gentleman, his eyes and smile alluring to all who get to bask in his presence. Any and all depictions have him holding some kind of drink in his hand, preferably multiple while his clothes show the steins of vigorous consumption.

Personality

Nazaala is commonly described as a beacon of joy and delight in any crowd. His sheer presence bursts with enthusiasm and during the heights of any celebration, most would admit that it's difficult to find a fault in his personality. Despite the fact that he definitely enjoys being the center of attention and receiving the admiration of others, he never neglects on others and does his best to share his passion with everyone, wanting none to be left alone to themselves.   But the most notorious stories is about what Nazaala might leave behind. Tales of women being swept away in the night, drawn in by his charms and their minds often swayed by several drinks, are all too common. Long have people debated whether he is truly responsible, or the blame is upon the mortals to revel too hard. Some have claimed to know only suffering from tending to such a legacy while others speak of an unlikely savior, finding love soon after with someone willing to care for a child not their own.   This is further accentuated through his apparent lack of responsibility. Nazaala is best known for being a free spirit, only looking to have fun and bring joy to others in the process. Rarely do you hear about his true duties as a god, or how he tends to those who've been affected by his actions. Only few can claim to have witnessed any direct actions of true nobility, and even they are flimsy at best. But many like to hope that deep down, he looks on from afar and quietly lends his blessing to the truly compassionate souls with which he shared a moment of passion.

Abilities

When it comes to dealing with opposition, Nazaala's quick to do so through martial prowess. He's known for being incredibly strong and wields his greataxe with ease compared to its size. But more often than not, he'll simply use his fists to do the talking, only ever using a weapon when dealing with truly hostile opponents. If his strikes alone won't do the trick, the flames that accompany them are sure to tear through anything that stands in his way.   His arcane prowess consists primarily of evoking the power of fire to clear out a battlefield for his otherwise wild style of combat. He much prefers to enhance himself and his axe with even greater force, rather than flinging spells at his opponent. He's also said to have a particular mastery over music, using instruments and song to bolster his allies and weaken his foes, taking great pleasure in engaging his enemies in a dance of fire and steel to the sound of drums.

Worship

Nazaala is immensely popular with young souls who'd like nothing more than to simply enjoy themselves and feast till they burst. This goes especially for men while less so for the women who fear becoming the target of his more carnal desires, along with those of his followers. Most cultures have their share of people honoring Nazaala by arranging the very festivities that he enjoys, from private gatherings to the annual festivals that extend across multiple nations. Some of his most notable followers are the bards and warriors who love to go above and beyond.   Almost anyone who holds a smidge of martial prowess and looks to Nazaala for guidance are the kind of people who love a good brawl. They'll often seek to crush those who show disrespect to them and others, or simply challenge others for the sake of letting out some steam. This goes true for men and women alike, sometimes more so when it comes to the latter, eagerly proving that they should never be underestimated. His followers will often travel from place to place to seek new challenges and pleasures to experience, never saying no to a long stay at the local tavern.
