Þekkalic: Akalúrkó

Akalúric1 or akalúrog is the language of the Akalúrans the western Zúdalikí Desert in southern Dalra. It's closely related to Þekkalic and, though more distantly, to Enmohó to the east.
Unlike þekkalic, which is celebrated by the Dalrans as the language of scholars, akalúric has been in decline ever since the dalran conquests, like most other aspects of traditional akalúran culture.

Writing System

Akalúric is written using an alphabet similar to the one used by the Þekkals, the main difference being that the letters in the latter feature only straight lines, while akalúric letters have dots as well.

Geographical Distribution

Akalúric is rarely heard outside the counties of Súmra and eastern Verexra, and is mostly used by the rural population, while in Olrónalí (the old akalúran capital) the people are generally bilingual or have switched entirely to speaking dalran or þekkalic instead.

1Original icelandic: akalúrska.
