Pamsa

Ynamok:
Pamsa (ænatíska)

Pamsa is the provincial capital of Mapaajes, the western part of the empire of Ænadó. It's a wealthy city, as merchants travelling between the capital of Nat on one hand and lands of the Galkans and Orrólans on the other often stop by there on the way.

Demographics

Aside from Ænateans, the city has a large community of Taxótans, either belonging to tribes which inhabited the region before Ænadó or hailing from the Talax Mountains to the east. A few galkans from Vagalkan live in Pamsa as well.

Industry & Trade

The city is an important producer of raisin wine, an ænatean speciality, and black corn beer known by locals as liquid obsidian, which are sold in exchange for goods from Vagalkan and, further west, Orrs, such as tobacco, salt, myrrh and copper.
Pigeons are also raised in great numbers by pamsans, mostly for squab, which is as popular there as more traditional guinea pigs and mutton.

Infrastructure

The city is centered around the temples of the sea god Gaal and Hlom, goddess of the moon, more commonly known as Lomó. The main market square is located at the bank of river Júmsa to the south, around which most of population lives, while the northern part is home to the wealthy, and Pamsa's governor lives in a citadel built on a promontory to the northwest.

Geography

Pamsa is located at the mouth of Júmsa River, surrounded by vineyards, fields of black maize and peanuts and pastures for sheep and horses.
