Ashana Province

The Ashana Province is the north eastern province of the kingdom of Valian Domain of Tranol. The land is mostly rugged rocky terrain to the north and east and swamps to the south. The only real resource is an abundance of iron ore. Large mining settlements surround the mountains in the east. The province is ruled by a Dwarven Arch Duke named Thord of the Stoneshields. Thord is also the clan leader "Thane" of the stoneshields. His clan controls the majority of the mines in the region. The swamps to the south is populated mostly of Lizardmen and other amphibious creatures. They see no one as their sovereign and has fought off many attempts to eradicate them.
