House Èrintrèlis
Descendants of House Miranèlis cut off after the cataclysm, House Èrintrèlis is a Feloran Noble House hailing from the western regions of the Feloran Empire. The family has long been associated with the stars & astronomy, due to House Founder Èrintrèlis' personal interest in the stars and her knowledge of celestial events.
In 964 RE, the Cliffs of Erintrel became the feudal domain of the Èrintrèlis Miranèlis, who opened her fortress, Èrintrel'mùn, to survivors of the Getninian Cataclysm. Today, House Èrintrèlis remains loyal to the current Miranèlis dynasty, supporting the reforging of the Empire, and continues to be a powerful force in Inner Feloran society, although they do not wish to return to the expansionism of the Late Imperial. The family's expertise in astronomy and timekeeping is still widely respected, and its members are often called upon to advise on matters of state and to offer guidance to other noble houses.
Structure
At the top of the hierarchy is the Vènmègra, who is typically the most senior and respected member of the family. This person is responsible for making major decisions and setting the direction of the house. The current House Leader is Deirmullè Èrintrèlis (b. 1742 LIE).
The bulk of the house is made up of its members, most of whom are either direct descendants of the founding ancestor or who have married into the family. These members are expected to be loyal to the House Leader Housand to carry out their duties with honor and dedication.
Like many Feloran Noble Houses, House Èrintrèlis has a large staff of servants who handle the day-to-day tasks of running the household. These servants may include cooks, maids, guards, as well as educated tutors and professionals and artisans.
Culture
The ancestral Yīras of House Èrintrèlis are Sooru, the Ëlhyaean Yīra of wisdom and longevity, and Èrìntrèl'bri. Sooru is said to guide and protect the family, and to bless them with a long and prosperous life. Members of House Èrintrèlis often honor this spirit through offerings and prayers, and seek its guidance when facing important decisions.
Èrìntrèl'bri is based on the deification of Èrintrèlis Miranèlis. According to legend, Èrintrèlis Miranèlis was an exceptional astronomer who was obsessed with the secrets of the cosmos. She spent years studying the movements of the stars, mapping the heavens, and making predictions about the future. As a patron, Èrintrèlis Miranèlis embodies the ideals of wisdom, knowledge, and perseverance. She is a symbol of the power of the stars, and a reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope and guidance to be found in the heavens.
Public Agenda
House Èrintrèlis believes the Feloran Empire to have been the single most stable institution made by any of the mortal races. Nevertheless, its members have on the whole, advocated for the Sovereignty of Soren to continue to keep pace with the rest of the Known World, sending representatives to summits such as the most recent conclave on the Feloran Calendar. What little modern, non-Feloran technology in the Soveriegnty's use owes its thanks to the House as well.
When the Erintrene Republic was established, Deirmullè Èrintrèlis used his position and influence as House Leader to stymie the Erintrene Senate, viewing it's makeup and Republican Charter as too radical. However, after an astronomy expedition to test Armand van Elter, a famous human astronomer's new telescope, Deirmullè returned having seen the technology and industry of Dotharan, Aeillan, and Cyrenican innovators and threw suppport behind the early mining operations in Saren.
History
Èrintrèlis Miranèlis, the sister of Leswena II, founded the House after the Getnian Cataclysm cut off trade and travel to Inner Felora. A renowned astronomer and scholar who became obsessed with using the Ancient Feloran Zodiac, Feloran lore claims she had foreknowledge of the disaster. Legend has it that she delved so deeply into her studies that she eventually became a star herself, forever watching over the heavens and guiding her descendants.
The Erintrèlis Dynasty codified the Feloran Solar Calendar, a form of which is still in use today. Notably, under the rule of Thaelin II, the Empire shortened the month of Letrel after determining a better measurement of the amount of time it takes the world to go around the Sun.
Thaelin II was killed by Prince Yuileïa in the the Je'thor Reformations, ending the Dynasty.
In the present day, the house is present and mostly active within the Sarendian Trust, with a strong presence in Soren. Deirmullè Èrintrèlis was a strong opponent of Feloran Republicanism, and fought the Erentrene Republic at every turn, but has been an avid supporter and trusted ally of the Sarendian Trust.
