Cassel
Cassel was the last Royal Historian to House Somercrag of Bayglen, beginning with King Samuel Somercrag's ascension to the throne in 403KS and continuing through his death and succession by Queen Malina Somercrag in 433KS, until her death at the hands of ser Tyon Cray at the climax of The Revolution of 441KS.
Following the death of Queen Malina and the end of the Somercrag line of kings and queens Cassel was granted permission to document the last days of House Somercrag in Greland, chronicling King Tyon's exile of Prince Dalran Somercrag and ser Mitchar Hespeak to distant lands in The East and The North respectively. He then retired to The Spire, where he lived out his last years directing scribes to complete his life's work, The Last Years of The Somercrags. He was succeeded in the position by Elen.
