Devorah Taylor was a distant descendant of House Rue of The Green whose family had been living in Villa Nois in The Kingdom of Rotheval for almost two centuries, until The Eruption of the Boxsart Hills and subsequent ruination of much of Rotheval's farmland. Devorah was amongst those relocated by The Somercrag Rescue Effort of 448KS, settling first in Conbridge, before coming to the attention of Lady Ophelia Buckhaill and The Duchal Council of House Southbay as a potential claimant, eventually being recruited to ser Allon Stormborn's Band of Heritor Knights to accompany his Caravan to High Hill with the promise of a seat of their own from amongst his new territory.
