Terms of the Surrender of The Secessionist Forces 454KS

On this the first day of November in the year four-hundred-and-fifty-four in the reckoning of the Kingdom of Somercrag, the gracious King Tyon I Cray accepts the surrender of his enemies under the following terms.
The following terms apply to all Secessionist houses:
  • All armies will return to their homes by the shortest available course and disband.
  • All captives will be released and returned to their homes with all possible expediency.
  • Siezed lands, resources and infrastructure will be returned to their rightful owners intact. Where damage has already been incurred, fines will be payable, as judged by the Royal Justicar and the Royal Seneschal.

House Foxworth of Fairstrand, having violated their responsibilities under the Duchal Charter of Somercrag, performing acts of treason against House Cray of Bayglen and inspiring insurrection throughout the Kingdom, suffer the following penalties:
  • House Foxworth is stripped of their position as a Duchal House, and ser Newall Foxworth is stripped of the title of Duke of the Lands North of the Witwells.
  • The City of Fairdeep is siezed from House Foxworth by the Crown to be the Seat of a new Duchal power.
  • Matthias Foxworth, presumptive Heir to House Foxworth, shall become a Ward of the Church of the Stormwyrm in Bayglen, chiefly to Wyrmspeaker Yusuf, until the Crown chooses to relinquish him.

House Hayford of Haycastle, as the only other Duchal House to join the Secession, face the following terms:
  • The position of Duchal House is stripped from them, and ser Edgarth's heirs lose the title Duke of the Lands East of the Hespeaks.
  • The Seat of Haycastle, the Cities of Dustfield and Twixtwood, and all other settlements South of Goldsfall become a new Holding of Haycastle, which is seized from House Hayford to become the seat of a new Duchal power, House Slaite of Haycastle.
  • The remainder of the former Haycastle Holding becomes Arrowbreach, with House Hayford's seat being moved there as a Vassal of House Slaite.

The following Houses: House Ollyn of Lowall; House Rebane of The Ilves; House Bonebrake of The Stonehouse; House Lowblade of Serpent's Bridge; having not only rebelled against the Crown, but also against their own Dukes, face the following terms:
  • They will be stripped of all of their Lands and Titles.
  • They will be made to serve the new Liege of their Holding in whatever capacity suits them - this may involve a minor landed position such as a mayoral one, or unlanded positions within the new household. It is expected that the new Liege will accomodate the entire household where possible.
  • Although House Brume of The Green ought to be treated in the same manner due to their rebellion against House Southbay, the gracious King Tyon I and Duchess Virginie have agreed that, due to House Brume's late arrival to the war, they will suffer lesser penalties:
    • The Settlements of Nordbank and Wyldwood and the entire shore of Westlake is stripped from House Brume and granted to House Blackwood of Westlake.
  • Although House Durbach of Felweather Keep and House Peake of Two Points ought to have been treated as above, allowances have been made in exchange for certain Captives, and instead they face the following terms:
    • Ser Berthold Durbach is to be carried into exile by members of the Kinsguard of King Tyon I Cray.
    • Clarrik Durbach is dispossessed. At this time he is not forced into exile or placed under arrest, but this is on the understanding that he will play no part in the governance of Felweather Keep. Should the Crown be displeased with his level of involvement, he will be arrested or exiled.
    • Garrel and Ellisha Durbach are taken as wards, the first by House Blackbar of Castle Blackbar and the second by the Crown. House Blackbar will appoint a Steward until Garrel comes of age.
    • Sers Mannrel Peake and Dyanne Peake-Locke are to be carried into exile by members of the Kingsguard of Tyon I Cray.
    • Jaeneth Peake inherits Two Points.
    • Imogen, Anabess, Jorlynn and Alice Peake are taken as ward, the first by House Skanler of Farcastle, the second by the Crown, the third by House Conklyn of the Clerewood and the last by house Phyrefenn of Eastgate.

Two Houses in the former Hayford Duchy, namely House Bailer of Tayach Dam and House Locke of Riverfoot, sieged the capital, and must suffer the consequences:
  • Ser Natari Bailer is to be carried into exile by members of the Kingsguard of King Tyon I Cray.
  • Ser Zandren Bolling is dispossessed. At this time he is not forced into exile or placed under arrest, but this is on the understanding that he will play no part in the governance of Tayach Dam or Millvale. Should the Crown be displeased with his level of involvement, he will be arrested or exiled.
  • Lorenah and Tacey Bailer are taken as wards, the first to House Slaite of Haycastle and the other to the Crown. House Slaite will appoint a Steward to Tayach Dam until Lorenah comes of age.
  • Jackar Locke-Leonine is to be carried into exile by members of the Kingsguard of Tyon I Cray.
  • Cadwell Locke inherits Riverfoot.
  • Brunn, Adelia and Virgon Locke are taken as wards, the first to House Slaite of Haycastle, the second to the Crown, the last to his namesake Duchess Virginie Southbay.

The following Houses: House Winthrop of Hess Hall; House Stivir of Stivir; House Epper of Epperton; House Percier of Quarrystone; House Tarre of Sentinel Point; House Quay of Cainfield; House Roseadwyn of Redmouth; House Blest of Blest Isle; acted under the orders of their Duke and therefore face lesser punishments:
  • Each of the named Houses will have an Overseer appointed to their Council by the Crown.
  • Each of the named Houses will pay a tithe of one-quarter of their incomes directly to the Crown. This is in addition to the tithes payable to their direct Duke.

As part of the terms of her release, Aniza Ollyn is stripped of her knighthood and forbidden to carry arms.

Signed
King Tyon I Cray, King of Somercrag
