Hothkars
Those who live in barren Hothavar are quite different from their southern kin, having never seen a noble in their life in all likelihood, or even a soldier when they weren't selling furs. They have little attachment to these notions of caste or hierarchy. In Hothkar all that matters is family and community, for one will not survive the winter unless all work together, all the time. They are hard, but loving folk, that keep to themselves for the most part, largely uninterested in the ongoings outside their personal life and that of their small communities
The Hothkar's are well known to pray little, such a scattered community has many faiths, with many praying to the ancient The Flayed Gods , some to Vennesia and those who go to the growing cities give their worship to the establish Creed of Raziel. And some even say that there are those who follow the old ways of the chain.
The Hothkar are said to be descendants of the Ulhoir for they are tall and strong, easily standing a good foot taller than most folk in the League on average, and though there are few Ulhoir who have settled in the region, most consider such talk nonsense. But they have taken up the worship of the great Animal Spirits much like the giant settlers in their lands, whom they share a tentative but cooperative relation in most cases, while those who live in the settlements have long since become closer to one another.
