Korvland Region - Kingdom of the Korvlands

Korvland has a long history of great noble houses of knights and honorable machine-riders, long before the coming of the good king Korvald the Karselmar had established the three great dynasties, Ulf, Brask, and Kalmarn. Fighting a long and bitter struggle amongst themselves for the land that remained amongst them after the great elven invasion, but that was when the great king came, and gave them salvation, offering their loyalty for returning their stolen lands and people. That is how the story goes, the three great families gave their eternal loyalty for having been aided by the good king, the great and powerful houses were well entrenched in all aspects of life in the region, and ruled it with a just iron grip and they continue to do so in return for their service. To some more importantly Korvland is home to the holy mountain, the mountain of the covenant between the Good king and great god Raziel, the God of Kings and King of Gods. Who chose Korvand as his champion to unify humanity in his image. Thus the faith of Korvand and by extension the Kings and the worship of Raziel is of great importance in the League, but non more so than the birthplace of the religion, at the base of the mount and the beating heart of Korvland and the great capital of the Good king Korvand, Vrakthor.     Thus the Korvland Region is ruled by the Royark council and the royal family, the Royark Council consists of 5 representatives of each of the ancient houses, who are internally selected to govern different provinces within the region to govern it as they see fit. At all meetings the Royarks have, the Grand Clergy is present as advisors on spiritual and humane matters, but they are a powerful voices, often heeded. In fact the Royal family have long had close ties with the church, as a direct line to the holy king Korvand, and their authority over the houses largely stems from this close relation, for the houses have over the years grown far to powerful for the royal family to keep in line by sheer might or influence alone. The Clergy in Korvland is respected immensely, and part of many public institutions to ensure adherence to doctrine, and the will of the kings. The support of the church is essential for the currently elected king, as he will need their support and infleunce to direct the noble houses, who in truth hold greater powers than he.
