Mylia

Honored Blood Mother, Lord of Primal Hate, Maiden of Justice; bound by blood, Protector and Mother of the pack. Mylia

She is a god shrouded in mystery, rarely spoken on by in ancient lore, and still rarely spoken of in current days, her tales are shared around campfires, spoken of by the primal clans and those who live in the wild, living by laws of their pack. Often associated with Orcs for they are her main worshippers, though many suspects that ancient human tribal groups also worshipped her.
Mylia cares little for who gives her worship, welcoming all who would embrace her way of life, eagerly seeking to expand the pack, but she is also known to be quick to expel those who would exploit the pack. Fiercly protective of what she deems as her own kin, Mylia is known to incite animals and her followers to strike out in bloody vengeance against those who go against them, making her a feared entity to many outsiders and kingdoms when they hear of Mylian cults.   It is said the gods avoid her, for fear of her wrath, for Mylia holds a deep-seated hatred towards the celestial gods and their descendants, hunting them with great ferocity, and even at times directing her followers in similar pursuits.

Aspects

There are three primary aspects to Mylia.

Hate

Mylia is a vengeful god, she forgets no slight towards herself or her pack, and she expects her followers to do the same, those who would anger us deserve our wrath in its splendor, and to hold such a thing back is not the way of the world.

Justicar of the wild

According to Mylia it is either eat or be eaten, there no laws to them except survival, no goals beyond seeing the sunrise again, and no means too fowl to do so. This idea also extends to others around you, it is the idea that those too weak to survive are burdens, burdens that must be cut off so that the strong may flourish.

Pack & Kinship

Mylia is the sacred guardian of the Pack and Kinship, that is to say, that to Mylia there is no bound more sacred than the ones you choose yourself, those whom you call friend and brother, bound not by blood, by oaths and camaraderie. As such, there is no greater sin than to fail your pack when they need you, no greater sin than to leave behind the pack or to exploit them for your own gain. While at the same time those who offer nothing of value in return the pack, are little more than vermin and parasites.   While those who would lay down their life for their chosen, are saints and paragons in her eyes. To Many cultures this extends to affiliations as well, to orcs for example this idea extends to the tribe as a whole.

Worship

To worship Mylia is a simple thing, she expects no tributes, she expects no great honors save on her sacred day, she wants her kin to be happy and to live, to do so is enough to please her. Though her kindness is easily earned, so her wrath, should one stray from her simple tenants.
Those who actively worship her are rare, but they will often find themselves with an attentive god for good or bad.
Those who wish to commune with her will find the best luck, after a great battle, when blood is in the air, or on the ninth day of the month, and must chant her name while sacrificially bathing themselves in the blood of the recently deceased.

To honor your god

Sacrifice something living.   To bear her mark, color your lower jaw in blood.   Eat flesh raw on the ninth day of the month.

Chant

For the blood, for my chosen!

Myths & Stories

They say that like all the other flayed gods she was once a different being altogether, a goddess of love and compassion of companionship between friends and lovers. If those stories are true they are long behind her, now she stands as a paragon of bloodshed and the protector of all those who swears under her name.
According to the followers of Mylia, it is either eat or be eaten, there no laws to them except survival. To worship her is to be strong, and strong for the family she strengthens them by weeding out the weak and tending to the strong. She is also known as the protector of the pack, as she believes that the tribe comes before the individual so that they can survive.
