The Creaking Meadery

Previously owned by a Succubus bartenter, Cateva Chester, the creaking meadery was sold to the Heroes for Hire to serve as their base of operations.

Architecture

Original Design

The initial construction of the Creaking Meadery was a two story log-cabin with an enclosed deck on the side the building. The inside was furnished with several bar stools and bottle racks for the various drinks that would be served to customers.
Upstairs was a bedroom with a small area for one to get dressed modestly as well as a wash tub.
Downstairs was a stone-walled basement with several racks for storing casks for wine and more racks for the more expensive and rare beverages.

Initial HFH Modifications

One of the first changes made to the establishment was to enlarge the basement to serve as the headquarters of the local branch of Heroes for Hire.

Extension Renovation

After reaching second rank, the building has been slightly extended, with the top floor converted into bedrooms for the HFH owners. The basement has also been expanded by the diligent work of Myla and Laylee.

History

Origin

The Creaking Meadery was orignally constructed by Cateva and her husband Cyril as a means for her to escape her original succubus trappings. While modestly popular with the locals, it never really quite took off as a successful tavern. Many assume it's the fact that it's run by a succubus, and patrons could never feel at ease with someone who could potentially manipulate them so easily. Whatever the reason, debt begun to gather up leading to pressure from Baron Abrams for them to repay their debt or face the consequences.

Acquisition

On the 11th of Flamerule 1496, the Heros for Hire purchased the property, and consequently settled tax matters with the Baron, becoming the new owners of the Creaking Meadery.
