History
Sernos was having issue with its ever-growing population threatening them to have to expand their borders into much more dangerous land. The reigning King at the time, also feeling threatened that the ever growing population of Faustina worshippers would make their fortress city grow soft and start causing protest over the constant war Aknir was in with the monstrous forces within the countries wall, sent the then High Priestess of Faustina Ailbha Liandre on a mission to find a safe land to move many of the new population to continue growing.
Ailbha Journeyed north despite protestation that the North was for too dangerous for anyone to live in. However, in what came to be seen as an act of guidance from Faustina herself, Ailbha came across a flatland on the shore that Ailbhas troupe would name Ailbhafair after the saintly woman they followed behind. Though the location was perfect, monster attacks were very common in the beginning years of the settlement, leading to a priority building of the towns walls. Walls that will have stood for centuries, thus earning the budding city the protection it craved.
In the center of Ailbhafair, Ailbha's best friend (a wizard known simply as Agustria) made her home- a massive library with an ornately made tower. Agustria was much loved by the people for generations, but it was centuries after Ailbha's death when King Mathias orchestrated his hunt for magicians on the premise that magic was an extreme danger to the balance of the country. The townspeople of Ailbhafair long disconnected from the bond that Agustria had with their own town's father stormed the Mage ward of the city, Cutting down wizards left and right. Finally breaching Agustrias library, the townspeople took her in and handed the Wizard over to their lord. What happened next to her is a mystery, but her ward now lies dormant in taboo. No one dare crosses into the long sacked academic ward.
