Culture
Paluvians are a hardy people, living in and around often poisonous swamps filled with extreme druidic circles and protected fiercely by fey and nature spirits. As such, the Paluvian military is among the most active in Gioveghanni, needing to be able to defend towns at the drop of a hat. Outside of militarism, which is inherently non expansionist, Paluvians enjoy the finer points of life, growing strange new fruit hybrids in an effort to make the perfect wines or sangria. Overall, Paluvedegi houses the most adept culinary experts in Verdai, having easy access from everything from fish to lamb, corn to rice, and everything in between.
Public Agenda
After the previous Marchese attempted a civil war for Paluvedegis expansion, fueled by the paranoid ramblings of a beholder, the present Marchesa now works within the system to return Paluvedegis peaceful name while also growing the states influence within its own borders without upsetting the agents of natures wrath. The further west these settlements go, however, the stronger the opposition that finds them.
History
Paluvedegi used to be an independent country prior to The Eternal Dusk, but they joined with two other regional kingdoms in what is now known as Gioveghanni. Now, the Gioven Conference consists of these three states, of which Paluvedegi holds dominion over the swamps, wetlands, and southern coast. Recent efforts of settling in the wilderness west of Tofra to suit the growing population and thriving agriculture have been met with fierce opposition.

Religion
Paluvedegi has the highest amount of untouched wilderness in Gioveghanni, as such the majority of its citizenry holds a great fear and respect for the god Linnaeus. In addition to Linnaeus, the people often pray to Vespucci and Boudicca for protection.
Foreign Relations
Paluvedegi is often considered the black sheep of Gioveghanni. Relations between Paluvedegi have been strained by the threat of war, thanks to the influence of a beholder and the states previous leader. For this reason, Paluvedegi has its strongest political ties with the ostracized pre-war nation of Ostia, their own citizen, Sir Kyk Phlyp, acting as the Head of the Queen of Ostia's personal guard, and Ostia's seeming friendship with Scrap.
