Lengyom, Kingdom of
The Kingdom of Lengyom; also known as Leng is a kingdom that succumbed to the Helegu in 1220 and existed as a tribute state to the Silver host until 1465 when that state began its rapid disintegration in geopolitcal power.
Bordered by Yurus and sitting on the northern edge of the Great Zash Lake, the Kingdom of Lengyom measures about 40,000 square kilometres.
Its capital was Leng until its destruction by the Helegu in 1220, where all but it's famous library was razed to the ground. The current capital is nominally the Citadel of Elgi Serr that has been constructed since the withdrawal of the Helegu 20 year years ago, slightly east to the ruins of the original Leng.
Lengyom occupies the area round the Issan Corridor, a stretch of the Salt Road, between western Hadean and the important tradeports on the Radiant Coast.
Historically Lengyom made significant achievements in literature, art, music, and architecture, which was characterized as "shining and sparkling". Since it's capitulation to the Helegu and the subsequent raiding of the great library in the following centuries, the cultural achievements of Lengyom have declined precipitously.
