Stanver Colonial Authority

The Stanver Colonial Authority (also known as SCA, 'the Authority', 'the Administration', or 'thieving slaver-bastards') is the central 'government' of the Dominion of Felion and a more-or-less direct link to the Empire of Stanver back in the Old World.

Even though nominally the Dominion is a seperate state from the Empire and the Colonial Authority, most decisions regarding its fate are made here. The SCA is quite small, compared to the Dominion and still most argue that it is the more powerful of the two 'nations'.

Structure

The SCA is ruled by the Central Colonial Council, a group of individuals who hold high positions within the major organizations on Igniya, such as the Colonial Governor, the Arch-Deacon of the Church of the Golden Dawn, the Guildmaster of the Prospector's Guild and a representative of the Empire's government. Working under the Council are countless bureaucrats, who form smaller authorities, which are tasked with making the decisions and decrees of the Empire and the Council reality.

Culture

The people living within the terrirtory of the SCA are not much different to those in the Dominion and other places in the Empire, though they are likely well aware of balance of power between the nations and therefore might carry a slight sense of superiority towards those from outside their (new) home.

Public Agenda

The Authority was instated by the Empire of Stanver, in order to have a means to exercise more dircet control over their newly established holdings on Igniya. Of course the SCA twists this mission into the sentiment that they are there to "Ensure the security and prosperity of all people on Igniya". It is no secret that they do this by maximising the Empire's profits and do their best to crush any possible opposition, as to convince the Empire that sending more of its loyal (and heavily-armed) servants is unnecessary.

Assets

A sizeable contingent of troops from the Empire and a large "allowance" are at the disposal of the Administration. With these assets the Council either buys, or "requests" the loyalty and cooperation of the people on Igniya. Along with these things also come minor benefits, like the direct access to imperial technology, weaponry and knowledge-bases, which those working for the SCA can use to fulfill their tasks.

History

The SCA was set up shortly after a minor uprising in the Dominion of Felion in the year 107.
