Session 7 Report

During the night, Suiadan Innion had another dream. It was similar to previous dreams but darker. It felt like he was closer to where he needed to be. He could see sunlight but it was far away and he couldn't get closer to it even though he tried his best. Occasionally he saw Bain de Soleil in where the sunlight was. He woke up in the doorway he had fallen asleep in. It was very early in the morning but he went downstairs to have breakfast while he waited for the others. The others joined him as they woke up one by one. Pōtiki went outside as they heard the call of Pīpī. Bain de Soleil followed them, curious but after questioning them about it to which Pō just pointed at the fantail on their finger and said 'bird', she left them to talk and went to have breakfast. Pīpī conveyed to Pō that they were back from their trip far away to the north east and that things were not good. He expressed concern of potential for great evil to happen with plans underway by nefarious beings. Pō asked if they needed to go do something but Pīpī was hesitant, suggesting not yet. Troubled, Pō rejoined the others telling them things are very wrong. They decided they would continue along the coast, hoping to find the creature they had been hearing more rumours about including that it was some sort of flying lion creature. Before they left town, Bain visited the village trading post, Alil and Ico's Vault and bought several items from the male dwarf shopkeep, Thali Hammerstone. The party traveled along the main road around the coast of Grech and at about midday, they spotted several dead carcasses on and around the road, most picked clean. Harthe sent his pseudodragon familiar, Pip into the air to see what he could spy. He spotted a nest in the distance. The adventurers climbed the large grassy hill toward the nest. As they approached, they were set upon by a harpy. Almost all of them got entranced by her song. Then the manticore they'd heard rumours about appeared from beyond its nest. After a large battle, the party took down both the harpy and the manticore. They continued to travel toward the next village, Vanimprotret. Toward nightfall, they spotted the lights of the village ahead but were intercepted by a camp of bandits. After a quick scuffle, they took them all down, and eventually arrived in Vanimprotret where they were put up for the night by a short male elf by the name of Makili in his small tavern, The Maiden and Cask.
