Heartrise Bakery

Heartrise Bakery has long been a stop off point for mariners stoppping off in the Grouper's Corner  neighborhood. Baking as the name would dictate had long been in the Baker family line. If a way to a man's heart is his stomach for Raymond Baker Helga won her way into his heart by making his bread better. Thusly they believe that love is in bread and they believe that baking bread is there way of spreading love to their corner of the city.    Heartrise Bakery presents a delightful contrast in smell to the fish, pork, and beer smell of the The Bristli Boar Often you will catch patrons of the business next door going outside just to take a whiff.

History

Raymond Baker grew into the family business putting one foot in front of the other and doing what his father had told him to do. Three generations of Bakers and Raymond felt he didn't have any choice. There was no joy in his work. Then in walked Helga with her suggestions. Which he ignored until one day he made a substitution she had long suggested. The bread was better.   He began taking her suggestions to heart and then was full of questions. Helga had learned cooking as a little girl from her mother and saw it as a joy rather than a chore. This joy was passed on to Raymond. Soon she had installed herself as manager of his business and then life partner and became Helga Baker

Tourism
