Frigid North

The Frigid North consists of miles upon miles of icy Tundra just outside of the "Northern Wastes". Barren ice plates and frozen trees litter the horizon as far as the eye can see to the North, but when people refer to the "Frigid North", they're usually talking about the area where Vahlic people currently call home.   This area is well below freezing and wildlife is scarce, but it is technically habitable only because of the meat gained from hunting cold-weather beasts. However, there are many dangers in the Frigid North including said beasts - from huge to small monsters roam the area, fight constantly for what little food there is, and are in relentless turmoil. Pair that with the effects of the subzero temperatures, the ever-changing snow paths, and the constant shifting of the ice, the Frigid North is incredibly inhospitable to humans.   The climate forces all those who live there to be tough, hearty, and vigilant hunters. Sometimes different peoples send their accomplished hunters to the area to prove themselves, but this is becoming rarer and rarer as the Northern Wastes continue to prove too much for even the most experienced hunters.

Fauna & Flora

Most plants cannot handle the never-ending winter of the Frigid North, especially the farther North you get, and the plants that do survive are usually thorny, poisonous, and hard to miss.   The beasts that live there range in size, but all are unique to the area and are in constant struggle with each other to get a meal.

Natural Resources

Wood is easily found, but sustainable forests are not as the summer barely lasts a month and the snow never completely melts. Many young trees die over the harsh winter. Food from hunting is fairly easy, provided the hunters are good at their job. Stone, Coal, and other precious metals are probably the most prevalent, cut from the mountains in the area.
