Haidar's Forest
SOURCE
Some of mankind walked to the south, where they found Haidar’s dark forest. But they did not yet know fear, so they did not pause as the malevolent branches tried to scratch them and ignored the howls and growls from within. And Haidar, seeing mankind’s foolish naivety, taught them to fear. Once the travelers understood fear, and prostrated themselves before him, sacrificing some of their own, Haidar allowed them to pass, though he still occasionally took out his wrath on someone within his boughs. So mankind, much wiser for their encounter, and in many ways wholly changed, continued to travel, still trusting in Paersy’s promise that there was more good to be discovered.
Geography
A large forest in the center of the subcontinent, the forest varies in thickness from distressingly dark to pitch black.
Natural Resources
The forest is rich in lumber (obviously) but also contains some plants that are known for their delicious flavorings and magical capabilities.
