Sobekhotep VII
The warrior-king of Edeli, Sobekhotep VII comes from a long, and very complicated, lineage of Kings. Many are priests first and foremost, but all are warriors, as befitting the ruler Greatest City in the World.
As the Abydos Menos, he is seen as both a King, and a God, a bridge between the Divine and the Mortal realms. He is expected to lead his people both spiritually and physically, and, upon his death, to be entombed within the confines of King's Rest with his forebears, awaiting the day when he is called upon to lead his people once more, be it as King or as a great General in a holy (or, Unholy) war.
Sobekhotep was the second son of his father, destined to be a great general but never to be a ruler, however, in 217, his brother, Amanthet, the rightful ruler, was ousted from power in a bloodless coup, placing Sobekhotep in complete control of the Kingdom and it's military.
