The Hidden Falls of Raja

Deep within the northeastern mountain peaks of the Pridelands' Seven Brothers lies a small cave that remains hidden from most travelers. Within this cave lies a wondrous sight - a magnificent waterfall that cascades into a seemingly bottomless, magical pool. This mystical pool never overflows despite the constant flow of water from the waterfall, leading many to believe that it is the source of the divine river Baiun. This river is under the watchful eye of the goddess Raja, who controls the river of time. Many have sought to uncover the secrets of this magical waterfall and explore its mystical properties, but few have ever returned to tell the tale. The legends surrounding this sacred site have sparked the imagination of countless adventurers and scholars alike, leading to many expeditions and research endeavors to uncover its mysteries.

Geography

The Hidden Falls of Raja, also known as the Baiun Falls or the Waters of Time, is a natural wonder located on the northeastern edge of the Seven Brothers mountain range. The falls themselves cascade down a steep rock face, plunging into a large, pristine pool at the bottom of a small cave. The water is of the purest blue, reflecting the sky above, and the pool is so clear that one can see all the way to the bottom.
The rocks surrounding the falls are unique in their composition, featuring layers of black and gray volcanic rock interspersed with veins of white and pink granite. The combination of these rock types creates a stunning contrast, with the dark, jagged edges of the volcanic rock standing out against the smooth, polished surface of the granite.
As the water falls into the pool, it creates a constant mist that shrouds the area in a soft, ethereal fog. This mist gives the entire cave an otherworldly feel, as if it is a sacred place touched by the divine. The mist also seems to hold within it tiny specks of light, like sparkling stars, adding to the enchanting atmosphere.
As the water flows out of the pool and continues down the mountain, it carries with it an array of gemstones that have been eroded from the surrounding rocks over time. These gemstones can be found scattered along the riverbank, glittering in the sunlight. Some of the most common gemstones found in the Baiun river include amethyst, rose quartz, and blue topaz.
The Hidden Falls of Raja is a truly unique and awe-inspiring natural wonder. Its stunning geological features, the pure blue waters, and the array of precious gemstones make it a must-visit destination for those who appreciate the beauty of nature.

Fauna & Flora

The unique environment of the underground cave and lake surrounding the Hidden Falls of Raja provides a home for a diverse array of flora and fauna, many of which are not found anywhere else in the world.

The fungi in this environment are particularly noteworthy, with many of them glowing with an ethereal light. This is likely due to the magical properties of the falls and the lake, which imbue the fungi with a mystical energy. The glowing fungi create an otherworldly atmosphere, with patches of vibrant colors and hues lighting up the walls of the cave.

In addition to the glowing fungi, the cave is also home to a variety of other plant life, including mosses and lichens that cling to the rocky walls. These plants have adapted to the dim light of the cave, and their muted tones provide a subtle contrast to the bright glow of the fungi.
As for the fauna, the Hidden Falls of Raja is home to a small population of blind fish, which have evolved over time to navigate the dark waters of the underground lake. These fish are completely blind, but have developed an acute sense of smell and hearing to locate prey and avoid predators.

Other creatures that can be found in the cave include various types of insects and arachnids, as well as bats that roost in the upper reaches of the cave. It is said that a rare and elusive species of underground salamander can also be found in the cave, though sightings of these creatures are rare.
